President Bajram Begaj is positioned as the highest paid head of state in the region. With a salary of 3,860 euros, he surpasses even the presidents in Croatia and Slovenia.
Bajram Begaj is now the highest paid president in the region, after the vote in the Albanian parliament for salary increases. With the monthly benefit increasing from 2,320 euros to 3,860 euros, he surpasses the presidents of Croatia and Slovenia in the region, who are paid up to 3,500 euros per month.
After him are positioned the three members of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina: Denis Beqirović, Želka Cvijanović and Želko Komshić, each with 2,920 euros per month in their leadership position, and further down the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, who has salary 2420 euros.
Meanwhile, the salary of the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, after the last increase, goes to 2160 euros, while the Serbian President Aleksendar Vučič, whose salary was increased in January, receives today 1700 euros per month. With a difference of 200 euros, Stevo Pendarovski closes the list with a monthly salary of 1500 euros.
Throughout the region, the salaries of officials are a major topic in the public eye, because they are thought to receive, in addition to their salary, other income, several times more than ordinary citizens.
