In the show Money this week on Euronews, the increase of the average salary to the level of 900 euros was discussed.

About 200,000 employees in the country put 6,000 ALL more in their wallets since April. Each additional income for them is one more opportunity to meet the needs of the family and for consumption, as it comes with increased expenses for the employers. For the latter, the burden of social and health insurance for each employee increases by 1,000 ALL. But the calculations made by the government in January did not bring protests from businesses, as has usually happened whenever there have been additions in the past years.

Regarding the minimum wage, there was a preliminary consultation with the enterprise. It is a bold initiative, but delayed because the minimum wage is also related to the economic level of Albanian citizens, and I am convinced that private enterprise looks at it from this point of view, because the richer the Albanian citizen, the more is present in the economy.

Business has not only embraced it, but has been in full coherence and precursor to the decision taken by the government to increase the minimum wage. For example, in the manufacturing and processing industry, it turns out that 57% of them do not have any minimum wage employees, which means that businesses themselves have long understood that maintaining the workforce is also related to financial motivation.
