The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, held a meeting today with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Theodoros Roussopoulos. The meeting focused on several issues that, according to the DP leader, remain concerning—primarily the political and institutional situation in Albania.
Berisha emphasized the essential role played by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in protecting fundamental rights and freedoms, both domestically and internationally.
He raised several issues he considers urgent, calling for increased attention from PACE and other international democratic institutions, as well as support for the restoration of democratic order in Albania.
President Roussopoulos reaffirmed PACE’s commitment to democratic values and expressed readiness to closely follow the issues raised during the meeting.
