Scholz: We do not agree with Serbia on Russian sanctions, disagreements continue

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a press conference after the EU-Western Balkans summit in Tirana said that they do not agree with Serbia regarding the sanctions against Russia related to the war in Ukraine.

Scholz confirmed that he had spoken with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic regarding this matter.

“It is clear that we have expectations from anyone who wants to join us. We also talked about visa policies, there have been changes and I think there will be more changes in the future. We disagree on the issue of sanctions, this is not something new. But the disputes still continue”, Scholz answered to a question posed by a journalist during the EU-Western Balkan Summit’s closing press conference.
