The School of Magistrates has announced that it has approved several important changes to the training program for candidates for judges, prosecutors, state attorneys, legal advisors, and legal assistants.

According to the school’s statement, these changes are in line with the recommendations of the European Commission and represent an important step toward fulfilling obligations stemming from the European Union integration process.

“The new program is more practice-oriented, placing special attention not only on legal skills, but also on non-legal skills, integrity, and ethics,” the School of Magistrates stated in its social media post.

At the core of the new approach is direct mentoring of candidates, step-by-step preparation of legal acts, as well as encouraging interaction, analysis, and professional debate.

“The skills and competencies targeted are part of the daily reality of the profession. Upon completion of the initial training program, candidates for judge, prosecutor, state attorney, and legal assistant will be ready to serve the justice system,” the statement added.
