Secretariat of Ethics expels 24 opposition MPs

After the report by the State Police about the 24 opposition MPs regarding the incident of burning chairs in front of the Parliament premises, the Ethics Secretariat has today excluded MPs Gazment Bardhi, Flamur Noka and Bledion Nallbati from the Parliamentary Commissions and plenary sessions for 60 days.

Meanwhile, MP Edi Paloka has been suspended from parliamentary activities for 10 days.

While the other 20 MPs were expelled for 40 days.

Monday’s session lasted only 13 minutes and was interrupted due to numerous tensions. The opposition MPs initially blocked the pulpit and started throwing hard objects at the speaker. Then they took the chairs out of the hall and burned them in the yard. This act was condemned by the majority.

The list of deputies who were sent to Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) by the police and the criminal offense for which they are accused:

8- Agron Gjekmarkaj, 50 years old for the criminal offense of “Destruction of property”

9- Ina Zhupa, 37 years old, for the criminal offense of “Destruction of property”

10 – Lindita Metaliaj, 47 years old, for the criminal offense of “Destruction of property”

11 – Dashnor Sula, 59 years old, for the criminal offense of “Destruction of property”

12 – Luan Baçi, 61 years old, for the criminal offense of “Destruction of property”

13 – Lodovik Hasani, 57 years old, for the criminal offense of Destruction of property

14 – Asllan Dogjani, 57 years old, for the criminal offense of Destruction of property
