The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has reacted through an announcement on his official page on Facebook regarding the kidnapping of three policemen within the territory, in the north of Kosovo.
He stated that something like this contradicts every agreement and every principle of international norms. Sveçla added that Serbia continues to show its true face, while guaranteeing that such criminal acts will neither scare them nor force them to retreat.
Full statement:
While law and order are being implemented in our country, criminal Serbia entered the territory of Kosovo and kidnapped 3 police officers of the Republic of Kosovo, in violation of any agreement and against any principle of international norms.
Without any doubt, our police officers have been stationed deep within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, at a static checkpoint, performing their regular duties.
Serbia continues to be the cause and guardian of evil in the region and in Kosovo. We do not back down before criminals and terrorists. Serbia is again showing its true face and that of an autocratic and aggressive state.
We ask the international factor to urgently increase the pressure on Serbia not only to release our police officers but also to stop its provocations.
Such criminal behavior of Serbia does not stop us in our journey of strengthening sovereignty in the country.
