Serbian government seems to be consulting step by step with Russia about the situation in Kosovo and the kidnapping of three policemen in the north.
Meetings between high representatives of Serbia and diplomatic representatives of Russia have become more and more frequent in recent days.
The last meeting with the Russian ambassador in Belgrade was held by the current Minister of Defense, Milosh Vucevic, who at the end of May officially took the post of president of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), after the departure of Aleksandar Vucic.
During the meeting with, Minister Vucevic informed the Russian ambassador about “the current security situation in Kosovo”.
We recall that a few days ago, Vucic and Ivica Dacic, among others, were invited to the Russian embassy in Belgrade on the occasion of Russia Day.
The Russian ambassador said that “the only way to resolve all disputes is to reduce tensions and implement binding international agreements, respecting international law regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia”.
A day before, the spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia is calling for decisive steps to restore normal dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
