The Serbian List, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, has asked citizens in the north to allow the movement of KFOR and EULEX, saying that their presence is in accordance with international agreements previously approved.

The members of the Serbian List have appealed to the citizens for peace and self-restraint, while the Kosovo Police has recently increased its presence in the north, with the aim of securing peace and stability, writes REL.

“Let’s not fall into provocations. We all need peace and the continuation of the dialogue to give space to the negotiators who would reach the solution of this situation through dialogue and not through unilateral movements”, the press release states. 

KFOR and EULEX are monitoring the situation in the north of the country, where, on December 10, barricades were erected and some roads were blocked by local Serbs, after the arrest of a former member of the Kosovo Police, Dejan Pantic. Pantic is accused of “organizing the terrorist attack” on the offices of the Central Election Commission in the north of Kosovo on December 6, when “CEC officials and police officers were attacked”.
