The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is waiting for KFOR to take action to remove the barricades set up in the north of the country blocking passage from Kosovo to Serbia and vice versa. 

In addition, he also said the road blockage will not be tolerated for much longer.

These statements are being considered as a threat by Serbian officials in Belgrade.

The Minister of Defense of Serbia, Milosh Vucevic, said that Prime Minister Kurti’s announcement that he will remove the barricades in the north of Kosovo at all costs is a “general threat to Serbs, especially those who live in Kosovo”.

He also said that the Serbs from the north of Kosovo have been fighting for their rights by blocking the roads for 12 days, as Vucevic said.

Meanwhile, the US and the EU are also demanding the removal of the barricades. But, until now, the NATO forces in Kosovo, apart from an exercise in the north, have not yet taken any steps for their departure.
