Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić cancelled her visit to Greece, after Athens abstained the vote on Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.

The Prime Minister was invited to the Delph Economic Forum. Brnabić was also scheduled to meet with her Greek counterpart.

Opposition media in Greece accuse Mitsotakis’ government for “ruining diplomatic ties with a traditionally friendly country like Serbia”.

The Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dačić spoke to the state media, to express his disappointment towards his Greek counterpart and Greece’s stance regarding Kosovo’s membership request in the Council of Europe.

“I’m surprised by Greece. The Minister from Greece was honored by Serbian President himself in his own home,” declared Dačić, referring to the last visit of Nikos Dendias in Belgrade and the dinner he had with the Serbian President.

Dačić also criticized Montenegro, while adding he was surprised by Ukraine. According to him, Serbia has denounced the violation of the territorial integrity of this state in all world resolutions, meanwhile Kiev abstained regarding Kosovo.
