The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that his message to the Serbs from Kosovo is that “there is no surrender and there will be no surrender”, adding that they were forced to put up the barricades.

Through a post on social media, Vucic said that the normalization of relations can begin by forming the Association and respecting the rights and freedoms of Serbs.

“The message to everyone else is to form the Association of Serb-majority municipalities, to respect the rights and freedoms of the Serbs and to behave in accordance with the signed agreements and international law, because this is the only way to start normalization of relations”, Vucic went on Instagram.

He added that the authorities in Serbia will continue the fight for peace with all legal means.

Local Serbs in the north of Kosovo erected barricades on December 10, in protest against the arrest of Dejan Pantiq, a former member of the Kosovo Police. Authorities in Kosovo said he had organized the “terrorist attack” on the offices of the Central Election Commission in the north on December 6.
