Saranda’s police arrested a 36-year-old man who, a day before, set fire to his land in the village of Livinë, in Finiq, causing the burning of 3 houses in this village.
The investigative structures of the Saranda Police Station, in cooperation with the services of the Special Force “Shqiponja” and the General Patrol, after the information provided by the police intelligence, located, captured and detained the wanted citizen M. B., 36 years old, resident of the village of Livinë, Finiq.
This citizen is suspected that on 11.09.2023, around 11:00, he started a fire on his land, in Livinë village, Finiq municipality, and when he saw that the fire was getting out of control, he left. The fire, favored by the wind, grew in size and as a result, 3 apartments in the village of Livinë were partially burned.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions, for the criminal offense “Destruction of property by fire”.
