Starting from June 1 of this year, Albanians living in Italy will begin to benefit from the bilateral agreement on pensions, signed and agreed upon by the two governments.
The news was confirmed by Prime Minister Edi Rama in a Facebook post, where he said that the “sister” (referring to the Italian Prime Minister) brought the final document of the Legal Process for the implementation of the Pension Agreement.
“Good news, shared separately to give it the attention it deserves, outside the swirl of the European Political Community Summit:
The sister brought to Tirana the final document of the long legal process on the implementation of the Pension Agreement with Italy, which means that starting from June 1, 2025, Albanians in Italy will begin to benefit from this meaningful agreement that reflects the new level of relations between Albania and Italy,” Rama wrote.
