NATO to send 700 additional troops to Kosovo after clashes in north

The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has reacted regarding the situation created recently in the North of Kosovo.

In a press statement, he emphasized that NATO has decided that within days they will send 700 more troops to Kosovo.

He added that they will deploy additional forces so that readiness is high.

“We have decided that within days we will send 700 more troops to Kosovo and place additional forces on higher alert. These are cautious steps. NATO and KFOR have the forces and capabilities they need to fulfill the mandate of the UN,” he said.
