The Kosovo police have arrested two people suspected of smuggling weapons in Prizren.

According to the police, the suspects were arrested on December 25 smuggling ammunition from Serbia to Kosovo.

During the checks, 13,368 bullets were found in the vehicle in which the two people were traveling.

“Two male suspects have been arrested, after they encountered the same one smuggling ammunition from Serbia to Kosovo in the weapon ranges. During the search in the suspect’s vehicle and in a shooting range, 13,368 gas cartridges cal. 9×19 were found and seized,” the police announcement states.

It is further said that by the prosecutor’s decision after the interview, the suspects were taken into custody.
