The European Union’s Special Representative for the Kosovo–Serbia dialogue, Peter Sørensen, stated that during his meetings in Kosovo held a day earlier, the focus was on advancing the process of normalizing relations with Serbia.
The European envoy held separate meetings with Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca.
“I visited Kosovo for good discussions with Prime Minister Kurti and the newly appointed Foreign Minister, Konjufca. We focused on advancing the normalization of relations with Serbia, implementing commitments, and ensuring stability and progress on the European path,” he wrote on X on February 24.
After the meeting with Sørensen, Kurti declared that Kosovo remains committed to normalizing relations with Serbia through mutual recognition.
Meanwhile, Konjufca informed Sørensen that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora will lead the dialogue process on the normalization of relations with Serbia, which began in 2011.
However, the Ministry did not specify whether Konjufca himself will head this process.
