In the 12 counties of Albania, a drastic decrease in births was observed from 2011 to 2022.

The most affected district is that of Gjirokastra, with the lowest number of births during the past year, causing it to have the oldest population.

Korca ranks after Gjirokastra, with a decrease in the number of births, followed by Fieri.

The situation with the birth rate is also problematic in Berat and Vlore, while a more improved situation appears in Tirana, Durres, Kukes and Lezha.
