Socialist leader Edi Rama is holding a closed-door meeting today with the political leaders of all 12 districts.

Each of them will submit a preliminary list of candidates for parliament. The discussion will focus on potential names for each district, as well as their categorization between those securing a safe spot on the list and those subject to preferential voting by the electorate.

Following this discussion, the certification of the final candidate list will take place on Wednesday in the Socialist Party’s leadership meeting. Wednesday also marks the deadline for submitting candidate lists to the Central Election Commission (CEC).

On Saturday, the Prime Minister held a retreat with ministers, political leaders, and the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group leadership. The retreat concluded with an analysis of each sector, both in central and local governance.

The discussion centered on how the government will capitalize on its projects for the May 11 election campaign.
