The Socialist Party has denounced the “Together We Win” candidate for the municipality of Tirana, Belind Këlliçi.

The socialists accuse Këlliçi of violating the electoral silence, as foreseen in article 77 in the Electoral Code, by reminding citizens of his campaign promises while appealing them to vote.

The same accusation was made for another candidate of the coalition, namely Luçiano Boçi, who runs for mayor in the municipality of Elbasan.

A few moments ago, Këlliçi called on citizens to go out and vote and reminded them that if elected mayor of Tirana, he will offer free public transport.

Meanwhile, Boçi declared so a few moments earlier: Go out and vote, victory is certain. Young and old are begging for change. Together we will bring change. The future of Elbasan will be decided today, the future of our families, our children, our country. Be part of the change, be part of a municipality that will belong to the people, after today.

Article 77 of the Electoral Code predicts that all political subjects who do not respect the electoral silence, be fined by the Central Electoral Commission with 500,000 lekë (roughly 4,500 euros).
