The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu commented in a direct connection with Euronews Albania, the trial being held in the Court of Appeal on the seal of the Democratic Party.

Spahiu said that he does not expect a final decision today. According to him, the issue will take about 5 years to be finally resolved, as the parties can go all the way to the Strasbourg Court to resolve it.

“The decision of the court will further divide the PD as the court will not give two seals, but one seal. This seal will belong to a group and therefore the division of the DP will be deepened. I predicted in December 2021 that the process will take 5 years. I predict that the court process does not end today. The judicial process will not be resolved even in 2025, but after it. To this day it has been a year and a half since what I said and then they didn’t take it seriously. It has been 1 and a half years and only with a judicial link from the court of fact has it been examined. This process will continue again in the First Instance, it will continue again in the Appeal, then in the Supreme Court, and after that in the Constitutional Court. I think that after 2025 it will continue in the Strasbourg Court. It will be a very deep conflict. The representatives of the diplomatic corps were also seen in court”, said Spahiu.
