The Office of the Specialized Prosecutor (ZPS) announced on Friday that it has arrested the former mayor of the Municipality of Malisheva, Isni Kilaj, on suspicion of obstruction of justice.

In a media release in Friday, the ZPS said he was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the Specialized Prosecutor.

“Kilaj was arrested for criminal offenses against the administration of justice, including obstructing official persons in the performance of official duties within the meaning of Article 401 of the Criminal Code of Kosovo… and violation of the secrecy of proceedings,” the announcement states.
