The State Police has drawn up a plan of measures to guarantee public order and safety during the end-of-year holidays and the first days of the New Year 2026, placing all structures on heightened alert.
To prevent incidents and criminal activities, the presence of uniformed police services and the Criminal Police has been increased.
To avoid long queues and ensure smooth movement of travelers at border crossing points, additional service counters have been added.
With the aim of preventing road accidents and increasing road safety standards, traffic monitoring will be intensified through the use of intelligent speed-measuring devices, drones, breathalyzers, as well as an increase in mobile patrols of the Traffic Police in all urban centers and along urban and interurban road axes.
In promenades, pedestrian areas, places of worship, public squares, restaurants, bars, and shopping centers across the country, there will be an increased presence of police services to prevent conflicts and criminal incidents.
At the same time, inspections have been ongoing for several days targeting entities that sell fireworks and firecrackers.
Heightened alertness and increased police services will also be present at banks, currency exchange offices, shopping centers, various markets, and other facilities where monetary and material values are managed.
The National Security Force, the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, and the RENEA Special Unit will be on standby to intervene in any case.
The State Police calls on citizens to report any illegal activity or indications of conflicts during the festive days and nights.
