9 counties across the nation have been appointed a new chief executive director, but the new names have all been serving in key leadership roles at the State Police, for years now.

Ardian Çipa, who will now be in the lead of the Police Department of Korça, is a personality that has been promoted since 2013 as the chief executive director of Tirana’s Police Department. He then continued by being appointed Deputy director at the Crimes Sector of the State Police Department, and he later became director of the Justice Witness Protection Department.

Gjovalin Loka, who will now serve as the head of the Police Department of Elbasan, – a deeply problematic county in terms of criminality, – has been in prominent leadership roles like the director of the Department of Public Order, the director of Shkodra’s Police Department and the director of the Department of Public Safety.

Likewise, for the past 8 years, Neritan Nallbati has led the Police Departments of 3 counties as well as the Directory of Professional Standards and now he was appointed in the lead of the Department of Safety.

Niko Brahimaj, has previously been the head of Shkodra’s and Lezha’s Police Departments, and will now lead the Institute of Scientific Police.

Out of the 12 transitions of these leadership roles, something that comes to the attention is that only Skënder Hitaj, Hamdi Fjore, Luigj Vathi and Ardian Çipa has passed the vetting process, whilst the others are still awaiting the temporary reevaluation procedures.
