Professor, Ilirjana Kucana told Euronews Albania that because of the recent government policy, mandating all students to get vaccinated, many of them are willing to go out and protest.
According to Kucana, the decision that forces all students who want to attend classes in the auditorium, to get vaccinated should have been put forward in a different light.
“The prime minister’s declaration has been understood as a political move and one that has created the opposite effect. It’s possible, that if they had left it up to the technicians and university representatives, to have presented their case in a friendlier manner, then it might have been a much better method to get through to more students,” – said Kucana.
According to the professor, vaccination isn’t the only issue that prompts students to rebel. She also noted that she isn’t part of the students’ refusal to start the new academic year or their protests against the mandate, however, she emphasized that she will help give these students a voice.
