Yesterday (February 23, 2023) at the evening panel of the Economic Summit for Eurasia that was held in Istanbul, the Chairman of the Freedom Party, Mr. Ilir Meta responded to the intervention of the former President of Serbia, Boris Tadić about Kosovo.

Meta called on Serbia to recognize the independence of the Republic of Kosovo.

The former President of Albania, Ilir Meta, has emphasized that “the independence of the Republic of Kosovo has strengthened the stability of our region and has influenced the Euro-Atlantic integration of its neighbors”

The Chairman of the Freedom Party has also emphasized that “even though it is the youngest country in our region, Kosovo is an example for our countries for free elections and functional democracy, as well as for transparency and accountability according to the most prestigious international organizations”.

The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, participated in the Economic Summit for Eurasia in Istanbul, at the invitation of the President of the Marmara Foundation, Akkan Suver, where many former heads of state, political leaders and prominent world experts in the field of economy were present.
