The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, announced today the closure of three parallel municipalities in the Dukagjin region.

On his Facebook account, he wrote that the time of illegality has ended and the only institution of Serbia inside Kosovo will be its embassy in Pristina, reports Klan Kosova.

“After a close coordination between the Kosovo Police, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, by order of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Police today developed an action to close the parallel structures of Serbia that have operated within the Republic of Kosovo.

On this occasion, the illegal municipality of Peja in Gorazhdec, in Osojan the parallel municipality of Istog and in Videja the parallel municipality of Klina, have been closed.

We remain committed to strengthening the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, in full respect of our Constitution and its unity.

The time of illegality has ended and the only institution of Serbia within the Republic of Kosovo will be its embassy in Pristina”, Sveçla wrote on Facebook.
