A video of Serbian Nenad Orlović, arrested in the north, who is seen handcuffed, with a black bag on his head and no clothes on his waist, has circulated on social networks.

Regarding the publication of this video, the Minister of the Interior, Xhelal Sveçla, has reacted, announcing that he has invited the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo to immediately begin investigations into this case.

Minister Sveçla announces that the Police Officer who committed this act was suspended from duty last night and continues to be investigated by the IPK.

Sveçla says that “every prisoner has his rights guaranteed by our and international laws, as he faces justice for the crimes and legal violations. For us, this is a fundamental principle that applies to everyone and regardless of ethnicity”.

Furthermore, Sveçla emphasizes that the security situation in the north continues to remain fragile.
