A protest took place in Shkodër against informality of the taxi service where taxi drivers operate according to the established rules, to protest for paying taxes for the place of residence, municipality tax, insurance and periodic license tax 1 time in 5 years.

Gathered in front of the “Demokracia” square, they show that in this way they are being harmed as they are paying their dues, while the informality of the vehicles that circulate on the streets of Shkodër is increasing.

This Wednesday’s protest is the first to take place by licensed taxi drivers in Shkodër. They demand that the authorities fight informality. So far not a single measure has been taken to help them. They declare that they pay nearly 150,000 lek in taxes per year.
