Albania will soon start the widespread use of Artificial Intelligence, to bring about a fundamental change in the lives of citizens. The Director of the National Agency of the Information Society, Linda Karçanaj participated in the TechAccelerator proceedings, organized by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change in Brussels, from where she presented the plan for a fully digital Albania in 2030.
“Albania will soon start the wide use of Artificial Intelligence, bringing a fundamental change in our lives. The new technology will enable proactive services, voice assistance for any public service, ease of application. But not only that. Through artificial intelligence, transparency will increase in public procurement, in the tax sector, in public administration”, said Karçanaj in an announcement on social media.
According to Karçanaj, Albania is ready for the launch of e-Albania 2.0 with proactive online public services through artificial intelligence.
“The TechAccelerator forum was a chance to get acquainted with the latest developments in technology but also with the successful experiences of using Artificial Intelligence in the service of people”, added Karçanaj.
E-Albania has brought a qualitative change in the lives of Albanians. Our country has received continuous evaluations from various international institutions, such as OECD, EC, DASH, which through their reports have expressed positive marks for progress, ranking us among the first in the region and alongside developed European countries.
It is estimated that citizens and businesses have already saved 12 million euros and 1010 years of waiting in line, thanks to the digitalization process.
Currently, there are 1231 electronic services on the e-Albania platform or 95% of all state public services.
