Technical Committee of Experts communicates new updated measures against COVID-19

The Technical Committee of Experts convened this morning in order to present the new anti-COVID measures.

The Chair of the Committee, Mira Rakacolli announced that based on the current stabilized epidemiologic situation, the committee has decided that starting from June 1st, the requirement to wear a mask in public spaces will be lifted, but it will continue to be obligatory in closed spaces as well as in public transportation buses.

Meanwhile, the curfew-hours will be pushed from 22:00 p.m.-06:00 a.m. to 23:00 -06:00 a.m. Bars and clubs will continue to stay closed and music will only be allowed until 22:00 p.m. If the situation continues to stabilize further, starting from July 1st, curfew hours could be extended from 00:00-06:00 a.m.,” said Rakacolli.

The measures that will be lifted

June 1st:

The obligation to wear the protective mask in public spaces. The mask will continue to be obligated in closed spaces as well as in buses and public transportation.

Curfew hours extends from 23:00 p.m. – 06:00 a.m.

Night clubs, discoes, continue to stay closed. Music will be allowed until 22:00 p.m.

From June 15th:

Gatherings in outer spaces from a maximum of 10 people will now be able to go up to 50, having to comply however, with the social distancing regulations of the ISHP protocols.

From July 1st:

Curfew hours extend from 00:00 a.m. – 06:00 a.m.

Regulation on music won’t change, remaining until 22:00 pm.

Sport championships will be allowed, with the presence of fans with reduced capacities up to 30%, according to ISHP protocols.

Social and cultural activities like theatres, artistic events, conferences are also allowed with reduced capacities up to 30 % including spectators and participants, according to ISHP protocols.
