A novelty in these elections on April 25th is the use of technology. Apart from the biometric identification of voters, which will function in all voting centres, the pilot voting project and electronic counting, these elections will also have an ensemble of monitoring cameras in all voting and counting centres.
High-resolution camcorders and monitors that serve to display the ballot paper before their evaluation in the vote-counting centers, will be installed over the vote-counting desk in order to ensure the registration of the evaluation of every single ballot paper.
The video footage will be transmitted real-time, in the monitors that will be placed in front of the observers of every political subject, it will be saved in electronic mediums and submitted to the Central Electoral Commission, including all the other electoral materials. The guidelines on the procedures of submission for the video-cameras recording indoors were approved yesterday.
