Henri Telharaj, the representative of the Albanian Council for gambling issues, says that addiction to online betting is much higher than regular betting. 

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Telharaj said that with the online opening, now anyone will be able to place bets over the phone.

“Opening online outlets has its difficulties because online gambling addiction has a tendency 10 times greater than when people used to go to bars and place bets. If before we had an approximate idea of how bad the situation actually was, with the opening of online gambling, we will have a betting point on every phone and anyone can play. In addition, there will be a greater marketing power on the part of betting companies. The situation will be much more sensitive”, he said.
