It seems that the only escape for those that have to be outdoors these days is plenty of water amid zig zags from one shadow to another.
This week Albania has been invaded by an African heatwave, while Meteoalb revealed that temperatures on Thursday climbed to 41 degrees Celsius.
Public health care experts recommend avoiding staying outside during peak hours and urge drinking as much water as possible.
“High temperatures must be avoided, from 11 AM to 5 PM, people should stay at home. When going outdoor, always keep a bottle of water, eat fruits and vegetables and light cotton clothes”, says Entela Labaj, a pathologist.
Those that are most at risk by the scorching heat are the elderly, children, people with chronic and cardiovascular diseases, and other vulnerable groups.
