Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that Kosovo has the support of the government led by him and of Albania, in relation to the tensions created in the north.
Rama gave the statement during the presentation of the project for the new Port of Durrës, where he said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti was unable to come.
“First of all, I would like to greet Prime Minister Kurti and Prime Minister Kovačevski, both of whom were unable to be here today due to commitments. In the case of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, you can guess for yourself that the impossibility is related to the recently created situation in the north of Kosovo.
A situation in which the government of Kosovo and the Republic of Kosovo have all the solidarity, understanding and support of our government and the Republic of Albania”, emphasized the head of the Albanian government.
Local Serbs in the north of Kosovo erected barricades on December 10, in protest against the arrest of Dejan Pantic, a former member of the Kosovo Police.
Authorities in Kosovo maintained that he had organized the “terrorist attack” on the offices of the Central Election Commission in the north on December 6.
