Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic reacted this Tuesday regarding the ongoing tensions in northern Kosovo and the deployment of Serbian troops on the border.
Brnabic declared that the Serbian army is on high alert and ready to protect Serbs living in the north of Kosovo.
“The high vigilance of the police and the army means that Serbia is ready to respond if someone attacks Serbs in Kosovo. This year, the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has organized a series of provocations and unilateral actions against Serbs,” she said.
Brnabic also raised the hypothesis that the Prime Minister of Kosovo is warning of the possibility of victims through his threats to forcefully remove the barricades that have been placed for weeks now at the border between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Kurti is already warning of human casualties and the forced removal of barricades. I hope that international partners will be wise enough not to allow this to happen,” she added.
