The court in Great Britain refuses to arrest one of the persons declared wanted by Albania that is involved in the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj.

Sources from the investigation group confirm that citizen Harry Simpson is in Great Britain and his arrest has been requested, but the court has refused to sign the arrest warrant, on the grounds that there is no reasonable belief that he was involved in the execution.

This Friday, the four arrested persons appeared before the Specialized Court for extradition with several requests. Edmond Haxhia, Steven Hunt and Thomas Mithan and Harriet Bridgeman respectively asked for bail in exchange for their passports being frozen, electronic monitoring, weekly reports to a police station and property bonds.

But on the other hand, the prosecution body in Great Britain demands that the requests of these citizens not be accepted, insisting on their extradition to Albanian justice. On the part of the London court, there is still no information on its decision-making on this issue.

For the event that happened on April 19 at the “Koral” resort, Ruben Saraiva, the Portuguese citizen who, according to the Albanian authorities, is Nikulaj’s executioner, remains wanted. For him, there are doubts that he continues to be in Greece since there is no exit outside the neighboring country registered in the system of customs points with any other country.
