The Central Election Commission, through a press release, clarified the delay of the money for the campaign which go to political parties.

The CEC says that the fund for elections benefiting the political parties participating in the elections was approved by law from the Assembly of Albania on 13.04.2023.

“The law in question entered into force on 13.04.2023 and was sent to the Central Election Commission on 20.04.2023.

The State Commissioner of Elections approved on 22.04.2023 the decision no. 397, “On determining the amount of funds from the State Budget that will be distributed as an advance to parties participating in the elections for local government bodies, dated May 14, 2023″.

The distribution of the party funds based on the relevant decision of the State Commissioner is made directly from the State Budget”, explains the CEC.

Earlier, the commanding chairman of Democratic Party Enkelejd Alibeaj, during an interview, expressed his concern that until now, the money fund for the entity he represents has not been released.
