The Chief State Commissioner of Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi, has read in a statement to the media the names of the new mayors of the Republic of Albania.

In total, the Socialist Party of Albania has won 53 mandates for the head of the council out of 61. The Greek Ethnic Minority Party for the European Future of Albania has received 1 mandate and the Together We Win coalition has received 7 mandates.

The Chief Commissioner announced that a total of 1,395,360 citizens voted, out of 3,650,658 voters in total.

This means that the official participation in the election was 38.22 percent.
