The Electoral College rejects Berisha’s request, the DP remains with Alibeaj

The Electoral College rejected the request of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, for the deregistration from the local elections of the Democratic Party with commanding chairman Enkelejd Alibeajn.

“Based on Article 158/3 of the Electoral Code, with a majority of votes, it was decided to dismiss the claim, the court expenses as incurred. This decision is final and no appeal is allowed. The decision was announced today on 27.03.203”, the College announced. Sali Berisha requested the registration in the local elections of May 14, of the DP with him at the head. Also, it was requested that the DP be part of the opposition coalition “We win together” under whose logo the candidates who emerged from the primaries will compete.
