The number of young Albanians and teenagers who are leaving Albania every day is alarming.

Applications for visas are open by the German embassy, every beginning of the month. They can apply for specialized visas and simple visas.

“Demands have been very high, it was discussed that 10,000 work places would be opened. There are separate application stages, specialized visas who request to have a B2 level knowledge of the language and a diploma, the process of obtaining a visa takes up to 6 months. It is the other round for the application for free professions, in the construction and gastronomy sector. Free quotas that the embassy has in a month is 200-300 applicants who benefit”, said Aurela Baholli.

According to national family immigration survey, for the years 2011-2019, conducted by INSTAT and several other organizations, about 50% and nearly 177 thousand are young people aged 15-29. By the end 2022, the number of those who leave Albania will exceed 100 thousand people.
