The leader of the Republican Party, Famir Mediu, who is also a candidate in the coalition of the Alliance for Change in Tirana, said during an interview at ‘Ilva Now’ that during the electoral campaign he has met with many young people and businesspeople and what he sees is many citizens being discontent with Rama’s administration.

Mediu said that he sees many young people that want to leave the country because they have lost all trust that the situation could ever change.

“I have met people everywhere, what dominates is poverty, insecurity and the desire to leave Albania. This is saddening. We have to return the trust back to Albanians. We need to build a functional state, where people should be guaranteed their rights,” he said.

For the leader of the Republic Party, Albania has an urgent need to build a functional state.

“A leader should act fittingly with his citizens. He has manipulated the whole time. Every Albanian that has reached high levels has done so by having a functional state, it’s not like Rama or Basha will take us by the hand and lead us,” he emphasized.

The leader of the Republican Party also said that the Socialist Party is intimidating voters and buying votes from the opposition all across the county. Mediu said that he is doing this through the Patrons.

Mediu said that he has been one of the first to denounce the use of personal data by SP for electoral purposes.

“I have made this denouncement before the ‘Lapsi’ portal, I have made it 2 and a half to 3 months ago. It used to be a system called Apollo, taken from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the last elections and later they added all the other elements to it,” said Mediu.

“This isn’t information that comes from the work of the party but it is information that is taken and robbed from the servers of the state and it turns into a property of the socialist party. If it had happened in a western country this would have been a big scandal. They are personal data that are protected by the law. You can take the list of voters but not the whole database of the entire country,” added the head of the Republican Party.
