The Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Michel Tarran, met today with Klodjan Braho following his election as head of the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
According to a statement released to the media, Ambassador Tarran congratulated Braho on his appointment and wished him success in taking on this important and challenging role.
“Ambassador Tarran reaffirmed the strong support of the OSCE Presence in Albania for SPAK and its key role in Albania’s justice reform process, emphasizing the importance of this institution in strengthening the rule of law and increasing public trust in Albania’s democratic institutions,” the statement said.
During the meeting, Ambassador Tarran and Braho discussed current and future cooperation between the OSCE Presence and SPAK, including support through capacity-building activities, policy advice, and the exchange of international best practices. The Head of the Presence reiterated the OSCE’s continued commitment to supporting justice institutions in Albania and welcomed Mr. Braho’s views on ways to further strengthen cooperation in order to effectively address corruption and organized crime, the statement added.
