The Chief Commissioner addressed a press conference after the closing of the voting process for the 2023 local elections. The Chief Commissioner announced that all polling stations have been closed.

He stated that there was a suspension of the process in 40 Voting Centers, stating that it is a smaller number than the one that was propagated by the election subjects.

According to Celibash, from the data of the biometric identification device (PEI), participation is calculated at 34.37%.

Also, Celibashi said that the information about the municipalities of Kamëz, Vorë and Elbasan will be published within a few minutes after the electronic voting was done there.

“The voting process has ended in all voting centers. 70% of the polling station commission had 7 members each. In 30 polling stations, group or family voting was reported. In two voting centers of municipalities where voting was done through electronic voting, only 1 of the two machines was used.

In 2 voting centers, in Elbasan and Paskuqan, only one of the two machines was used, in all other centers the process went very well. We administered 35 complaints. They are the same ones we listed before.

According to the data transmission system, the participation is 34.37% in those centers that were reported electronically”, said the chief commissioner of the CEC Ilirjan Celibashi.
