For years, the Northern Alps of Albania have been on the top list of tourist destinations in the country. 2023 in these first 5 months is showing that the number of tourists will be even greater.

At the top of tourists’ wishes to visit is Thethi, which, even though we are not yet at the peak of the tourist season, currently seems to be occupied by foreign visitors.

The impressive view, nature, crystal water and the freshness of the mountains make Theth the perfect destination.

“It’s my first time in Albania and I’m really enjoying it. It has very beautiful views and the people are very friendly. The nature here is unique and very beautiful and I really like it here” – said Julja Vatman from Germany.

“We really like nature and we chose to go on a trip and Albania is the perfect place. It’s the first time and it’s very nice. The color green dominates, the water, everything looks so beautiful and the people are fantastic. I looked on Instagram for Albania and it’s much more beautiful than I thought,” underlined Analia from Portugal.

Fatmir Berishta, owner of a guest house in Theth, evaluates this tourist season as very positive while emphasizing the difference between foreign and local tourists.

“Compared to last year, it is very good. It started too early. This year is very successful. There is a very large flow,” he said.

As for the problems, garbage remains the most worrying for tourists.

“The main problem is waste,” he added.

Seeing the flow of foreign tourists so far, in Theth this summer the accommodation units will not be enough to cope with the number of those who want to enjoy the nature of the Albanian Alps.
