‘Third in the world for the diaspora’, Forbes: 30.7% of Albanians live abroad

30 percent of Albanians born in Albania live in emigration.

The figure was published by Forbes magazine, which ranked the countries with the largest diaspora in relation to the total population of the country.

Forbes has analyzed countries with a population of over 750,000.

In this list, Albania ranks third, with 30.7 percent of the population born within the borders currently living abroad.

With about 1.2 million immigrants, Albania leaves behind countries such as Syria, Moldova, Armenia and Jamaica in this ranking.

From the region, only Bosnia has a larger diaspora than Albania, with 34 percent of its population. In first place is Guyana with 36.4 percent.
