Two of the three people arrested in Kosovo for writing “Kosovo is Serbia” are members of the Montenegrin Army, confirmed on Wednesday the Minister of Defense of Montenegro, Dragan Krapovič.
“At this moment, those two are officially on medical leave and they are good and exemplary members of the army,” Krapovič said in a statement.
The Kosovo Police arrested three people from Nikshiçi because the license plates of the vehicle in which they had gone to the monastery of Deçan on November 24, bore the inscription “Kosovo is Serbia”.
Two days after they were taken into custody, the Basic Court in Parti ordered a month’s detention for 34-year-old Rajko Krivokapic, 24-year-old Marinko Jovanovic, and 24-year-old Dragutin Llalatovic.
The prosecutor in Peja accuses them of the criminal offense of “inciting hatred and intolerance”.
Their lawyer, Jovana Filipovic, told the media in Kosovo that she will appeal, stressing that the Court’s decision was very harsh.
