This Sunday, Tirana will host “Tiranathlon,” a race that combines three sports into one event: swimming, cycling, and running.

Hundreds of athletes, both professionals and amateurs, will participate and follow a route designated by the Municipality of Tirana. The race will start near Helen Park, close to Lake Farka, and will then continue across several streets in the city.

To ensure the smooth running and organization of the “Tiranathlon” sports event at Helen Park, the Municipality of Tirana, in cooperation with the State Police, has drafted a plan of measures for vehicle movement during the race.

Traffic restrictions for the “Triathlon” at Helen Park, near Lake Farka, will be in place on September 21, 2025, from 08:00 to 13:00 (setup will begin on September 19–20, 2025, and dismantling will take place immediately after the event). The restricted road segments are as follows:

• “Tuneleve” Road (from the intersection of “Tuneleve” and “Daxhi” streets to the intersection of “Tuneleve” and “Panorama e Liqenit” streets).
• “Daxhi” Road (from the intersection of “Daxhi” and “Shaqir Palushi” streets to the intersection of “Daxhi” and “Vrapëve” streets).
• “Diga e Liqenit” Road (from the intersection of “Panorama e Liqenit” and “Diga e Liqenit” streets to the intersection of “Daxhi” and “Diga e Liqenit” streets).
• “Panorama e Liqenit” Road (from the intersection of “Tuneleve” and “Panorama e Liqenit” streets to the intersection of “Panorama e Liqenit” and “Diga e Liqenit” streets).
• Main interurban road (TEG–Shkozë Bridge).
• Boulevards: Zhan D’Ark, Gjergj Fishta, and Bajram Curri (segment from Shkozë Bridge to the “Pallati me Shigjeta”).

Urban Bus Line Deviations:

• Line No. 1/A “Selitë-Kristal-Center-Train Station-Allias” and No. 1/13 “Kodra e Diellit 2-Kristal-Center-Train Station-Allias” will deviate, one toward “Wilson Square” and the other toward the center.
• Line No. 2 “TEG-Sauk i Vjetër-Zoo-Former Train Station” will deviate to “Wilson Square.”
• Line No. 5/A “Former Tractor Plant-Center” will be temporarily suspended.
• Line No. 8 “Former Train Station-Center-New Sauk/Old Sauk/Sanatorium-TEG” will deviate at “Ekonomiku” roundabout.
• Line “Student City-Jordan Misja” will deviate to the center.
• Line No. 10/A “New Maternity-Center-Former Aviation Field” will be temporarily suspended.
• Line No. 13 “New Tirana” will deviate at the “Bread Factory” roundabout and toward the center.
• Line No. 14 “Ring” will be temporarily suspended.

Emergency vehicles and State Police vehicles will continue to circulate normally along all the above routes.
