At 18:00 today the match between Albania and England will be played, valid for the group stage of the World Cup qualifiers.
Due to the match, starting at 14:00, the police have announced that several roads in the capital will be blocked. Vehicle circulation will be restricted on several road segments near the stadium, specifically:
- “Papa John Paul II” Street
- “Dervish Hima” Street, near the U.S. Embassy
- “Asim Zeneli” Street, near the U.S. Embassy
- “Themistokli Gërmenji” Street
- “Ismail Qemali” Street, at the Lyceum intersection
- “Mustafa Matohiti” Street, near the “Kosova” school
- “Jul Variboba” Street, near the post office
- “Lekë Dukagjini” Street, near the former Republican Guard
- “Avdyl Frashëri” Street, near the “Libri Universitar” intersection
- “Skerdilajd Llagami” Street
- “Faik Konica” Street
As part of the security plan, police officers will conduct thorough checks on fans to prevent the entry into the stadium of banners with racist content, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnic materials, metal coins, umbrellas, lighters, phone chargers, cosmetic items, and other hard objects dangerous to the life and health of participants.
Entering the pitch during the sports activity by unauthorized persons constitutes a criminal offense and is punishable by a fine from 50,000 to 100,000 ALL. Throwing hard objects onto the field or at people, as well as the possession or use of pyrotechnic materials, fireworks, or flares, is punishable by imprisonment from six months up to three years.
Entry into the stadium for fans who have purchased a ticket will begin at 15:00.
