After a full year of struggles amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, professionals in the tourism industry believe they are seeing the first signs of recovery.

Deputy Mayor of Pogradec, Entela Gusho said that the number of tourists in this city has significantly increased during the past months.

“There are many tourists coming in Pogradec, not only from Albania, but also from Kosovo,” Gusho said.

She added that there will be many events during this tourist season, including some festivities.

Gusho said that many groups in the city have prepared hiking guides for tourists.

“Many guides will take place in the area of Mokra. Pogradec has many things to offer to tourists, including trips through canyons,” she said, emphasizing that there have been many reservations even from Nordic tourists, looking to come in July.
